In your first month of pregnancy, you may not even noticed any difference. Pregnancy dating usually starts from the conception period. It is only on the fourth week where you can be considered as officially pregnant!
The Female Reproductive Anatomy
The conception will happen in the fallopian tube where the ovum and the sperm will meet and merge. Once the egg is fertilized, it will travel down the fallopian tube and into the uterus. When in the uterus space, the fertilized egg will attach itself to the uterus wall and the placenta will start to develop.
A Cluster of Cells
For the first 2 weeks, your baby is only a cluster of cells but it is rapidly multiplying. By week 3, a zygote would be formed.
Inside The Uterus
Your baby in the first month is already attached to the linings of your uterus with the placenta linked to your body. You are officially pregnant by this time but you may not feel or see any difference yet because your baby is microscopic! How small?
